A nice spot but one real issue. We were under a shady spot that unfortunately dropped sap all over our van and vehicle. Totally ruined the awning on our van. I have spent hours trying to get it off. Surely the hosts would have been aware of this. If getting your vehicle and van ruined with sap stainS does not bother you, a nice spot. If it does concern you, AVOID. The image of the back of the van is the roof over the bed when extended. Sap all over it.
Dangerous falling trees.
Unclean toilets.
Avoid this camp.
A dead tree fell on our caravan, causing $1,800 damage.
Luckily, none of us were in that spot at the time.
The park manager was great, he found us a safer site and promised the park had insurance for these occasions and we would be looked after.
That was until I spoke with Tim, the owner.
He had not one ounce of empathy!
He told me that we were part to blame, because, even though we were within the site allocated to us, we were at the rear of the site (our van took up almost the whole site).
He said that his insurance excess was $2,000, and he wasn't going to pay it.
Especially as our van wasn't "that fancy."
It wasn't his fault the tree had died.
Tim offered us $200 and an extra 2 nights accommodation of we wanted to stay on.
He then tried to say that he could organise a patch repair for a few hundred dollars, but this patch would have voided our warranty.
I am glad the tree branch didn't fall on to one of my kids and kill them.
The camp itself needs a good clean.
The showers are terrible, all clogged with only 4 or 5 pin holes of water coming out.
The toilets seemed to need a good scrub all the time, brown stains, and smelly.
The "filtered" drinking water doesn't work. The filter tap looks like it's been broken for months.
The water our of the regular tap is brown 🤮
The camp kitchen is way too small, it would be ok if there were only 3 or 4 sites.
The staff working are friendly and helpful, its unfortunate they are working for an owner who isn't financially supporting the camp, and takes no liability for damages.
The camp itself is about a 2.5 star.
But the rude, arrogant owner makes it a 0 star.
We have been on the road permanently for 11 months.
This has been the worst camp experience we've had.
Had a great stay! what a beautiful place. staff are amazing. see you next year!!
This is our second time staying at Eco Camp, we love the bush setting surrounded by all the trees and wildlife. We checked ourselves in after reading the site noticeboard which detailed all relevant information regarding campers wellbeing and etiquette. There is a campfire most nights and camp kitchen with pool table and table tennis to keep everyone occupied, pizza oven and barbecues provided. Amenities block with showers and flushing toilets and there is filtered water in the camp kitchen for drinking. Proper bush camping with the conveniences we like at an amazing price. Staff are all friendly and make you feel welcome. We will definitely be back.
What a brilliant concept ! So peaceful and relaxing.im coming back to see the progress guys! Beautiful sights,amenities.. .everything! They really take care of there guests. You must go !!
What a lovely week long getaway we had at the 1770 Eco Camp. Super friendly staff who are more then happy to have a chat or help out if needed. The higher sites don’t have good Telstra coverage which wasn’t a big deal for us as the camp kitchen has free wifi and good reception. It was dusty the first day as they needed some good rain. Plenty of bigger sites for people who need some extra space and amazing value for powered sites.
Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.
Online Late Check-In available!
Nice place with some unusual game in the kitchen camp !
Shower not working well but still a good place to stay
